This is a synopsis of some aspects of the didactic year. It last 16 weeks and includes:
1) Anatomy and Physiology
2) Pharmacology
3) Clinical Chemistry (e.g. lab
interpretations)
4) How to take an adult's medical history
5) How to perform a physical exam on an
adult
6) How to do a "write-up" and
presentation on an adult patient
7) Intro to medical team members
8) Healthcare ethics
NOTE: This is a valuable experience for those wishing to specialize in internal or hospital medicine
